Brian Innis was a four-year varsity athlete in football and baseball, and three years in basketball, before going on to play baseball at Illinois and getting drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Brian earned all-city honors for football and was all-city second-team as a senior in basketball, where he was a double-digit scorer for three seasons. But as a baseball pitcher, Brian excelled. He was all-city as a junior and senior, earning a spot on the Illinois baseball team. After two years at Illinois, Brian was drafted in the sixth round by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1982 Draft.
