One of the greatest basketball players said to have donned the school colors of Lakeview High was Wayne Dunning. Wayne scored an amazing 1,021 points during his play with the Spartan’s and went on to become a star at Millikin University. During his career at Millikin, Wayne was an Academic All-American in 1983 and was inducted into Millikin’s Hall of Fame in 1988. Wayne is here today with his wife Tammy where they remain residents of Decatur.
