Dave Dakin was one of the best basketball players in Lakeview High School history. He was the Herald & Review Macon County Player of the Year as a senior in 1974, averaging 17 points and 14 rebounds per game during a 3-year varsity career. Dave was Decatur’s scoring leader in 1974 with 22 points per game and was the Turkey Tournament MVP in 1973. He received All City and All-Conference team accolades his senior year. Dave currently resides in Norway.
