Joe Doolin, graduated from Lakeview High School in 1966 and played on the undefeated 1965 football state championship team. Due to his individual performance, Joe was known as the “go-to” running back and was one of the city’s leading scorers during his time. Joe was selected as a first team All-Conference player, and All City Team.
Joe played football for Millikin University where he played on both sides of the ball and special teams. Joe continued to stay active in high school football, he has been the Public Announcer for the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans for the past 28 years.
