LaToya was a three sport student athlete playing basketball, volleyball and softball. This Macon County Player of the year won this title for basketball, volleyball and softball… in the SAME calendar year! La Toya went on to play at Lincoln College, where she played softball and basketball, she averaged 22.8 points a game, was named Honorable Mention All-American her sophomore year and held Lincoln College’s career scoring leader with 1,278 points. LaToya played Division I basketball at Arizona State University and was deemed Defensive Player of the year while earning a bachelor’s degree. Later, LaToya graduated with a Master’s degree from UNLV and is a teacher, where she has received distinguished educator awards for both elementary and middle school.
