A 1986 Eisenhower graduate, Dawn was a dual threat playing both basketball and volleyball in high school. As an impactful volleyball player, Dawn was recognized as a volleyball Big 12 all-conference member in 1985, awarded the EHS Senior Athlete Award, and was recognized as Herald & Review’s All Macon County athlete for volleyball. Dawn also held Herald & Review’s Macon County Basketball Player of the Year title in back-to-back years in 1985 & ’86. Dawn earned a four-year athletic scholarship to play basketball at the University of Nevada-Reno where she became a member of their Hall of Fame in 2010.
