Busboom, a host on WZUS (100.9 FM), has been doing play-by-play for Decatur Public Schools games, including football, basketball and several others, since the mid-1990s. He’s been on the broadcast more than 1,200 Eisenhower and MacArthur games.
An Urbana High graduate, Busboom started out at WITY-AM in Danville as a weekend disc jockey, then moved to the Champaign-Urbana market, then eventually to Decatur, where he began doing sports play-by-play.

Like McNamara, Busboom is a longtime supporter of the Decatur Turkey Tournament, and is on the Hall of Fame committee.
